Fully Fashioned Knit factory.
Opening October '09
In October Un-available will launch our new fully fashion knit factory. This factory was conceived to supply lower minimum but still high quality knitwear with the advantage of reducing your supplier base and costs by consolidating shipments.
We have hired a team of experienced workers headed by a manager with twenty years experience in knitting. When planning this factory we wanted, from the outset, for this project to benefit the people around us and to be less of a commercial venture but more an instrument to help our community.
To do this we are hiring and training under privileged workers at full salaries and giving them a way to support themselves and their families. We are renovating the factory to make it wheelchair accessible and will provide transport to and from the factory for those in need.
At the start we will be only supplying 12 gauge, 7 gauge and 3 gauge knits but will expand this, as demand requires. We will be using all types of yarn sourced both locally and from abroad. For any information please email Darren.chew@un-available.net
One and One Project
From each fully fashion knit garment produced here we will give $1usd to a charity and one garment to a children’s orphanage in Vietnam. This money donation will be given in the customers name to a registered charity. We will donate the clothing to various children’s orphanages in central and northern Vietnam. Any profits will go towards expanding the project. A portfolio will be posted here that will outline the specific projects we are going to be working on. Mrs. Sally Norriss will manage all contributions from Un-available.
